You might have already come across these interesting pieces of information which give us insights into the ways we might be influencing our own circumstances.

The first is that women tend to apply for jobs only when they feel they meet nearly all (96%) of a vacancy’s requirements in contrast to the men whose threshold is around 60%.

The second one is coming from the International Coaching Federation’s Survey conducted by PWC (PriceWaterhouseCoopers) last year. It says that 63% of men deem themselves worthy of investing in their career development as opposed to only 31% of women who do so.

Interesting, don't you think?! Apart from the fact that both statistics involve the gender dimension, they also call for a general contemplation: do we really do what is in our power to support and empower ourselves?

Do we do all we can to build a mindset which helps us to acknowledge ourselves as professionals, and supports the self-worth so that we can do justice representing our skills, strengths, values, capacities?

Do we actively seek the ways to get the tools and resources so that we can contribute meaningfully, despite the external circumstances at play?

Make a powerful decision that your career and life are worth the effort!
